ABOUT ME

Lisa’s unique journey combines education, creativity, and personal resilience to shape her approach to interior design. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Coppin State University, earned her Interior Design degree in December 2022, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Architecture and Interior Design at the Academy of Art University. Her psychology background gives her a deep understanding of human behavior and its relationship to design, enabling her to craft spaces that are not only visually appealing but also functional and comfortable.

From a young age, Lisa used creativity as a way to cope with the challenges of moving between foster homes. Drawing, playing dress-up, and singing gave her a sense of control and self-expression, experiences that inspired her passion for design. This foundation, paired with research showing the therapeutic benefits of creative expression, drives Lisa’s desire to create spaces that bring joy and positively impact well-being.

Adopted at age seven her mother, recognized her artistic talents, Lisa was encouraged to explore art, design, and music. Watching classic films with her grandmother and mother further inspired her love for vintage aesthetics and influenced her design style.

Lisa’s life experiences, from overcoming challenges to finding strength through creativity, have shaped her passion for creating spaces that reflect individuality, enhance artistic expression, and improve the lives of those who use them. For Lisa, design is more than aesthetics it’s a way to connect with people and make a lasting impact.
